It is kind of weird how almost every single mode of generating electricity relies on heating up water. It just baffles me that we can’t thin k of something else to do. Of course, like solar power doesn’t rely on heating up water. I mean you can do some useful things by heating up water with solar radiation. But solar panels just rely on the photoelectric effect, whereby photons striking certain metals will generate electricity. Anyway, I am on a homepage for a Texas company that produces electricity and I am trying to navigate to wherever on their site they have information about how it is that they generate their electricity.
That is something that is interesting to me, and I wonder what most providers of electricity use to generate their electricity in this state. I wonder how much the electricity is generated with new green technologies such as wind turbines and solar power. I know that it is a minority of the total electricity that is generated. But at the same time, if I were a gambling man, I would bet that is a far larger share of the total energy market than it was maybe 10 years ago.
I don’t have any data to back that assertion up on, but it seems like a pretty solid guess, if I do say so myself. But we need to do even more, because the world is not going to be here forever, if we do not take action to protect it. Mostly, humans need to work to protect the earth from the human race, because they have done the most to damage it over the years, and in particular, the last 150 years or so since the beginning of the industrial revolution. I hope that it is not too late to turn things around.
